2019: Our Best Year Yet!

2019 has been a jam-packed year for Priava. From product developments to high-profile partnership agreements and winning industry awards, we truly believe that this year has been our best year yet, and it will pave the way for exciting things to come.

So, just before we kick into gear for a busy festive season, we sat down with our CEO, Shaun Butler, to look back on some of the highlights from the past year and to see what’s in store for 2020:

1. The All-New Priava

According to Shaun, the most significant event of 2019 has been the launch of the all-new Priava. Shaun explains, “Migrating from flash to HTML was one of the biggest projects our Development Team has tackled since we moved to the cloud back in 2011. Over the past two years, the team has worked tirelessly to review and enhance every aspect of our venue and event management solution. The result is a system that is faster, smarter and stronger than ever, and one that can be used across desktops and tablets.”

Aside from the efforts of our team, we are also incredibly appreciative of our customers who provided invaluable feedback throughout the migration process. Shaun explains, “We have been so grateful to our customers for their ongoing support over the past 12 months. We received invaluable feedback from them during our Administrator Preview and following the release of the HTML application. Most importantly, we have been truly impressed by their ability to adapt to our new layout and how quickly they have learnt to utilise all of the new features in the application.”

2. Oracle NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer Network

Another highlight of 2019 was when the Priava Group was chosen to become Gold Partner of the Oracle NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer Network. According to Shaun, “As a Gold Partner of the SuiteCloud Developer Network, we will be able to leverage off the tools that are available within NetSuite to expand the benefits that Priava can offer our users. Furthermore, while we already have a strong presence in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States, this partnership will enable us to introduce our enterprise-grade venue and event management solution to venues across the globe. We will be kick-starting this by attending Open World Singapore in April 2020.”

3. Best Venue Booking Solution

“Being recognised by our industry colleagues at the 2019 Event Technology Awards was certainly a highlight for the Priava team,” says Shaun. “We are committed to developing a best-of-breed venue and event management solution, so it was an honour to receive the award for “Best Venue Booking Solution.” Furthermore, we were so excited to learn that our customer, Tobacco Dock, were finalists in the “‘Most Innovative & Tech-Friendly Venue” category.”

4. New Board & Executive Team

Separate to awards, partnerships and product developments, there have also been some considerable changes to our company this year. From farewelling our Chairman to welcoming a new board and appointing a new Chairman and CEO, our Executive Team are excited to drive Priava into the future by continuing to improve the management of venues and events across the globe by developing cutting-edge technology.

So, what’s in store for 2020?

“2020 is already gearing up to be another huge year for Priava,” says Shaun. “From a product development perspective, we are working to deliver Priava’s first-ever mobile application and have a number of other impressive features up our sleeve – particularly in terms of online bookings – that we can’t wait to share with our users.

“From a company perspective, we are continuing to grow the size of our international team. This will enable us to deliver even more frequent enhancements for our users, together with a high level of customer service, so that all of our customers can use Priava to its true potential.”
