Typically the largest meeting of venue professionals in the Asia-Pacific region, in response to the global pandemic, this year, the organisers are trialling a brand-new COVID-safe format by hosting four separate hybrid events across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland.
Featuring both live and virtual attendance options, this year’s congress aims to provide safe and practical options for venue professionals across the Asia-Pacific to share what we have learned in overcoming the challenges of the past twelve months develop smart strategies for the future. Priava’s CEO, Shaun Butler, explains, “We were excited to learn that VMA has developed a new approach to the congress, holding multiple events spanning across four locations in two countries. We feel that the new format will allow us to reconnect as an industry and discuss ways to tackle “new normal” expectations at meetings and events.”
The global pandemic prompted us to rethink every aspect of our business to find new and different ways of catering to our customers’ needs who were navigating their way through unexpected challenges like temporary closures, new restrictions, and mandatory safety measures. Shaun explains, “While providing exceptional service for our customers has always been at the core of what we do, prompted by COVID19, we completely pivoted all of our attention towards supporting our customers through the pandemic. We did this by developing new COVID-safe functionality combined with various new support services to help our customers upskill themselves and get the most out of the system. So, while the last year has had its challenges, overall, our company and our software have become stronger.”
One of the biggest initiatives that came out of the past twelve months was our financial incentive programs. We are pleased to say that these will continue throughout 2021, and we will provide a further update at the congress.
