Priava Sponsors the 2017 Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress
The 2017 Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress has come to a close however the celebrations continue for Priava as they begin planning for the 2018 event, where they will return once again as the principal sponsor.
The Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress is the single largest meeting of Venue Professionals in the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together more than 350 delegates from Stadiums, Entertainment Arenas, Convention and Exhibition Centres, Performing Arts Centres, Racecourses, and Showgrounds from across the Asia-Pacific region. The 2017 program was designed to inspire venue and event managers to look to the future of their businesses featuring presentations about new technology, contemporary catering trends, investment and funding and insights into large-scale upcoming events such as the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Furthermore, outside of plenary sessions, the congress provided a unique opportunity for venue management professionals to connect with their peers and with a number of key suppliers to the industry.
Priava’s CEO, James Pegum delivered a welcome address for the official opening and first keynote of the 2017 VMA Congress. “At Priava, we are proud to partner with VMA, and support them in delivering a program full of ground-breaking and innovative ideas and topics that help attendees to further their professional development and fuel the on-going growth of an industry that continues to prosper and flourish,” said James.
Along with sponsoring the event, Priava designed a lounge area for attendees to come and meet their team and learn more about their cloud-based venue management software. This lounge area provided attendees with an opportunity to grab a complimentary coffee from their team of expert baristas and participate in live demonstrations of their system.
At the congress, Priava held a competition which gave one attendee the chance to win a Priava subscription to the value of $20,000 for five years. The winner was drawn at the gala dinner and Gary Mears was lucky enough to take home the prize on behalf of The Events Centre Caloundra, Sunshine Coast.
Priava will once again be the principal sponsor at the 2018 Venue Industry Congress. James explains, “We tried something completely different this year and moved away from the traditional trade show stand concept, to offer attendees something that they actually wanted to visit and be part of. Given that it was so well received this year, now comes the challenge of making next year’s offering even better – but that’s the fun part.” Stay tuned for more details on what to expect next year.
