Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is a security feature that allows you to add an extra layer of protection to your Priava account. Typically, users only needed a username password to log into Priava, whereas using MFA, users are required to enter a username, password, and a unique verification code to access their Priava account. This added layer of security protects you against hackers or potential risks of exposing confidential information if your password is stolen.

Using MFA, users can choose the following options:

  • SMS – a unique verification code is sent to the user’s chosen mobile number.
  • Email – a unique verification code is sent to the user’s email that is connected to their Priava account.
  • Authenticator App – a unique verification code is generated via an external authenticator app on the user’s mobile device. Please note that users will need to install an authenticator on their device to use this authentication option. We recommend using Google Authenticator.

Important Note for Priava Customers

MFA isn’t compulsory, and Administrators need to enable this feature within the Admin section of Priava. Once enabled, MFA will be mandatory for all users in your Priava account.

MFA is free inclusion for all customers and you can start using this enhancement straight away. Please look at the Help Centre for more information. Alternatively, if you have any questions about our recent release or anything else to do with Priava in general, please contact your Account Manager.
